Management Trainee – Menomonee Falls

Training Location: Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Management Trainee Program (MTP) is to provide recent college graduates with the opportunity to be exposed to three key operating areas within a G&K business unit. The MT will grow and develop their career through mentor-led, online, classroom training, and special projects. Participants of the program will develop and attain the necessary skills and experience to prepare them for a first line supervisory role in Service or Sales at the completion of the program.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Successfully complete Smart Start, classroom, and online training on a rotational basis for a Route Sales Rep and Territory Sales Rep in conjunction with weekly work meetings and developmental evaluations with the Functional Mentors. This training will specifically involve activities such as observational route ride-alongs, team meetings, job shadowing, and coaching by department heads.

2. Successfully complete an abbreviated training for the management level (Route Manager and Field Sales Manager) in conjunction with work meetings with Directors/Regional VPs, General Managers and the Mentor from the chosen functional area.

3. Complete a special project assigned in one of the three functional areas of Service or Sales. Collaborate with management to determine role following successful completion of the management rotation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

• Bachelor degree in general management, sales, or marketing
  
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  
  
  
  Work Experience Requirement:
  
  
• Experience gained in a leadership role through practical work experience (supervising, coaching and developing others) and/or from various extracurricular activities
  
  Specific Skills and Competencies:
  
  
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  
  
• Clean driving record and ability to perform essential job functions
  
  Working Conditions, Hazards, and Physical Work Demands:
  
  Must be able to travel frequently to designated locations for training and also be relocatable. Regularly works in typical office conditions. Occasionally works outside in inclement weather, handling soiled garments and delivering products to a variety of different industries. Occasional delivery work includes: loading truck - standing, walking, bending, stooping, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs; getting in and out of truck throughout day; unloading and reloading truck - standing, walking, bending, stooping and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
